Minister of State for the Gaeltacht, Joe McHugh and the Government have finally seen sense and cancelled the tender process for awarding a contract for State subsidised flights to the Aran Islands.
A new tender process is to recommence and hopefully this time the Minister and the Government have learned the lesson that there must be meaningful consultation with the residents of the Aran Islands.
